Our fifth day of the Health4Youth Project in Sfântu Gheorghe was filled with meaningful connections, cultural exchange, and joyful moments that perfectly captured the spirit of the project.
In the morning, we visited the Berde Áron School, where our participants met with 38 local students for a day of interactive workshops. After a warm welcome, the participants and students were divided into mixed groups — each group of international participants leading a small workshop for the local students. The atmosphere was full of curiosity and excitement as everyone got to know each other through fun activities, creative challenges, and open discussions.
The workshops covered a wide variety of topics — some light and entertaining, others more serious and reflective, touching on themes such as health, wellbeing, and inclusion. It was heartwarming to see how quickly the participants and students connected, breaking down language barriers and learning from one another. The school visit was not only educational, but also a truly inspiring exchange between cultures and generations.
After a few hours of laughter, teamwork, and shared insights, it was time to say goodbye to our new friends. The group then walked together to the city center to enjoy some sightseeing and take photos, discovering more of the charming streets and landmarks of Sfântu Gheorghe.
Following lunch, participants had the opportunity to spend the afternoon freely — some continued exploring nearby touristic destinations, while others relaxed in local cafés, confectioneries, or pubs, enjoying the city’s cozy and friendly atmosphere.
The evening brought one of the most memorable moments of the project so far — our folk dance night! We were honored to host two local folk dancers as special guests, who performed a beautiful show showcasing traditional dances from our region. Their performance was full of energy and authenticity, and soon they invited everyone to join in and learn a few steps themselves.
But the night didn’t stop there — each country represented in the project also shared a bit of their own culture by teaching traditional dance moves from their homeland. The room was filled with laughter, music, and the joy of discovery, as everyone danced together in a wonderful celebration of diversity and friendship.
It was truly a lovely evening, full of fun, connection, and unforgettable memories — the perfect way to end a day dedicated to learning, sharing, and celebrating cultures.
